Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Works in close coordination with the Emergency Services Director, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and appropriate external agencies to create a continuous flow of information regarding ongoing Emergency Services activities.
- Coordinates closely with Program Support, Program Operations, Quality Organizations and Safety Organizations.
- Supports and assists Emergency Services Departments with program support requirements, program operations requirements, recruiting activities, and quality activities.
- Responsible for planning, developing, directing, and coordinating support for multiple, simultaneous, Program Level and Emergency Services Activities.
- Interacts with the US Military, and other Agency Officials, both over the telephone and in person, in a professional and tactful manner.
- Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with Vectrus policies.
- Perform duties related directly to the operational aspects of the Emergency Services Directorate and the PWS.
- Assist the Emergency Services Director in creating and standardizing processes and procedures to improve efficiencies.
- Manages processes, reviews PWS and contractual requirements, works closely with Contracts and Subcontracts personnel to ensure compliance.
- Leads Emergency Services special projects (Construction, RFP's, Equipment procurement, Site visits, etc.) as directed by Emergency Services Director.
- Develops recommendations to plans, policies, methods, techniques and processes that will improve Emergency Services management on the LOGCAP V Contract.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required by the Emergency Services Director.
- Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or related experience in Emergency Services Management
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Kuwait Driver's License
- Clearance Requirement:
- Must have a current and active SECRET Security clearance
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience in emergency services role (Fire, Medical, Police or Military Operations).
- Prefer experience in planning, supervising, managing and conducting overseas emergency operations
- Deployment to Southwest Asia (SWA) experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and work with minimal guidance and/or supervision.
- Skills:
- Must have excellent oral and written skills.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Management of Emergency Services Directorate consisting of Security, Fire, Emergency Dispatch, Emergency Medical Services, and the Combined Screening Team (CST) functional departments, including both Direct Hire and Subcontract personnel, in the day-to-day
- Directorate mission support responsibilities operating within established budgetary guidelines
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements:
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
