Key Responsibilities
- Banking Domain Expertise
- Deep understanding of core banking systems and financial products (loans, mortgages, savings, payments).
- Knowledge of various banking data types including customer, transaction, account, and regulatory data.
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS.
- Familiarity with banking risk management and fraud detection mechanisms.
- Experience working with real-time/near-real-time data processing in online banking environments.
- Informatica ETL Development
- Strong proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development.
- Design and build complex ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load large volumes of data from diverse sources.
- Optimize performance of ETL jobs and mappings for large-scale banking datasets.
- Implement robust error-handling, debugging, and automation strategies.
- Experience with job scheduling tools and managing batch jobs.
- (Good to have) Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) for data profiling and quality checks.
- Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and banking analytics.
- (Good to have) Exposure to API-based integration methods for data ingestion and extraction.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data processing and integration issues.
- (Good to have) Experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools (SAP BO, Qlik, Power BI).
- Ability to generate meaningful insights from complex banking datasets.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
- 3+ years of domain experience in banking or financial services (preferred).
- Certifications in Informatica or data management (optional but a plus).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for ETL jobs.
