Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Process incoming and outgoing PCS, TCS, TDY, Contractors, deployed, and transit personnel on official government orders in support of OIF/OEF according to the Housing Office procedures.
- Maintain accurate manning roster and update the billeting data base.
- Provide daily information.
- Maintain key control and billeting records.
- Issue linen and billeting supplies to occupants.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Coordinate with all tenant unit representatives regarding room reservations and issues.
- Inventory, issue, and receive linen on a daily basis from a local BPA contract.
- Provide mission support on daily tasks.
- Maintain an accurate work order log as well as submitting work orders to the help desk on a daily basis.
- Monitor and check all vacant quarters on a daily basis.
- Provide daily inspections of all shelter and billeting areas
- Conduct monthly fire and safety inspections for all empty rooms.
- Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections in all buildings.
- Responsible for completing daily tasks
- Performs some custodial services within housing
- Escort technicians and laborers as needed to complete housing missions.
- Performs police calls around area assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- College degreed preferred/High School diploma required.
- Experience:
- Incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of English comprehension, including speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and typing.
- Must be capable to supervise personnel.
- Must be detailed oriented and organized. Must have computer system administrative experience, should be have experience in procedural development as well.
- Skills:
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Interpersonal and communication skills are requirements of this position as there is constant interaction with army personnel as well as fellow co-workers.
- Problem Solving abilities are required to ensure that in case of a supervisor being unavailable they can handle a situation on their own (e.g. run out of linen or space). Computer skills capable of using Microsoft Office software.
- Working Environment:
- This position works both indoors and outdoors and should expect to work in conditions of extreme heat and extreme dust (i.e. - dust storms, humidity, etc). Normal work week is 48 hours (6 days a week, 8 hours a day). Must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires. Must be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position requires flexibility in work hours (shift work)
- Physical Requirement:
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
