Overview
  • This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**
Leads a team in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and disposing of Government Furnished and Contractor Acquired Material. Coordinates and supervises monthly 10% cyclic inventory, 100% annual inventory, and monthly location surveys. Validates and process customers' materiel/equipment orders. Perform 3-way match, receive, segregate and issue materiel/equipment to customers. Process MAXIMO transactions and verify accuracy of records. Supervise up to 15 direct/indirect reports. Submits, reconciles, and monitors GCSS-A requisitions. Prepare and submit reports to the Material Management Supervisor providing detailed information on routine and special reports. 'CAC' - should have the ability to obtain one.

  • Leads warehouse operation with multi-million worth of stock.
  • Leads a 24hr and 7 days a week operation.
  • Mentors and develops subordinate leaders.
  • Responsible for receiving and release for payment of all materials and equipment for the entire LCVK TO.
  • Submits, reconciles, and monitors GCSS-A requisitions.
  • Screen and validate all acquisitions throughout the entire LCVK TO to ensure financial and contractual compliance.
  • Operates and manipulates data in various commercial and military computer systems. This requires broad based understanding of system operations and analytical skills necessary to interpret the data resulting in cost savings or loss mitigation.
  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors
  • Ensures locations are properly marked, matched and recorded in MAXIMO.
  • Supervise a team to accomplish provided tasks to standard.
  • Supervises the transportation of supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck as required.
  • Responsible for Physical Security of Government Furnished Material under his/her control that are stored in accordance with the FAR and local policy.
  • Adjust inventory/location of stored stock. Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
  • Identify Excess material in stock and request disposition accordingly.
  • Prepare, read and analyze records and reports necessary to execute actions routinely.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/Experience Requirements:
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of experience in Material Management.
    • 1-year supervisory experience at the team level or higher
    • Functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions and Regulations for Material/Property Management
    • Working knowledge of supply room operations and inventory management is required.
  • DESIRED SKILLS:
    • NPMA, Certified Professional Property Specialist or above
    • Strong- knowledge level of automated financial and accounting systems. IFS experience is desired.
    • Experience in military or commercial supply management system. GCSS-Army and DLA Program experience is desired.
    • Ability to develop training materials using the latest electronic tools and deliver training to a multinational work force with varying language skills.
    • Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

    • WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems
    • Customer service training
  • Working Conditions
    • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
    • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
    • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
